About IQAC

The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) in Bangalore has proposed that every institution establish an Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) to evaluate, assess, and accreditation higher education institutions. This is part of the NAAC's National Action Plan, aiming to enhance and sustain quality in the continuous process of quality enhancement.

Objectives

The IQAC aims to create a system for continuous and effective improvement in institutional performance, focusing on pre and post-accreditation phases. It will channel efforts towards academic excellence, integrate various activities, and institutionalize best practices, ensuring a significant contribution to the pre and post-accreditation phase.

Funtions

The institution is responsible for developing and applying quality benchmarks for academic and administrative activities, creating a learner-centric environment for quality education, and preparing faculty for participation in the teaching process. Feedback from students, parents, and stakeholders is also sought. Information on quality parameters is disseminated, and workshops and seminars are organized to promote quality circles. Documentation of quality improvement programs is done, and the institution acts as a nodal agency for coordinating quality-related activities. The institution maintains an institutional database through MIS, develops a quality culture, and prepares the Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR) according to NAAC guidelines.
